Origins : references, tools
In order to make our project come to life, we followed specific steps to ensure the project was well-researched and put together. The group individually created mindmaps to research the subject of sustainable tourism and develop their own ideas around development projects they could see coming to life. The mindmaps can be found here: Ghita , Lea, Jiazhe and Rayane.
Once we had come up with preliminary ideas surrounding the idea of sustainable tourism, our group settled on a project: clean-up projects for tourists in the Philippines. The Philippines is an attractive tourist destination for tourists for its beautiful beaches and cheap prices, but they pay the price of pollution left behind by tourists. The app allows tourists who are socially-conscience to donate a little bit of their time by engaging in clean-up projects which simultaneously allows them to visit lesser known parts of the country.
Our wireframes
Once the wireframes were completed, we developed the ideas further by creating mock-ups. Seeing the app how the user would see it allowed us to take into account user experience, and so we reworked our wireframes to take the user experience into account. This led us to our two mockup: Mock-ups.
Once these designs were established, we conducted user testing, taking into account the feedback from our test-users to develop the app.
